Accepted direction, separated from current behavior.
Planned work is kept here so it is never mistaken for an available feature. The financial platform plans x402 approval resumption, KMS-backed signing, rate limiting, an Arc rail (Circle's own settlement chain) and, longer term, additional rails beyond Circle such as Stellar or Solana, each potentially using a different custody model - the payment interface stays the same to developers regardless of which rail executes underneath.
Paymod Code plans a terminal host and MCP client support for consuming third-party MCP servers. Scoped credentials and delegated authority are deferred until they receive a dedicated design.
